I have been in the travel industry since 2001, working at several travel agencies before moving to the current store in 2004.
When the opportunity arose to purchase the business, I didn't hesitate. Since then, I have continued to build up the agency and oversee the operations of the entire business on a daily basis. Having been in the industry for nearly 15 years, travel is certainly a passion of mine. Personal travel opportunities have slowed with a young family, but on the job training is vital in this ever changing industry. Owning and operating a small business can be challenging, but with supportive family, staff and loyal repeat clients I hope to be in the travel industry and travelling the world for many years to come.
I started as a part time consultant in 2009 at this office and haven't left!
Originating from the UK, I have travelled extensively throughout the UK and Europe, along with the USA, and my favourite, Canada. My passion is cruising and have cruised recently over the past few years and cannot recommend it highly enough. My holiday wish list includes destinations closer to home, including Asia and the South Pacific. I take great pride in seeing clients return home from their holidays and seeing them spread the word of travel to their friends and family.
Marketing/Administration
I am responsible for all social media, marketing and administration for our office. My focus is on constantly updating and promoting the latest deals and specials on the market. I am continually looking for new ways to help improve and grow our family run business. Although my role, now, is part-time, due to our children’s schedules, I have been a part of this business for the last 10 years assisting Matt with all areas of the business. I bring with me an extensive knowledge from having run my own customer-focussed businesses, before and after children. I love travelling and my favourite destinations have been Fiji, Langkawi, Asia and our amazing country itself Australia.
